Jodha Akbar has been facing a lot of controversy. The states of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh have already banned screening of this Hindi Movie in their states.This has dropped the box office collections drastically.
The director and the star cast have tried their best to defend the movie. The latest person to defend the movie is the leading hero Hrithik Roshan. Hrithik Roshan said, “This movie will make you proud irrespective of your being a Hindu, Muslim or a Rajput. And at end of the day, i request all of you to go and watch this movie. Please enjoy this movie without getting into too much of historical accuracy. After all it is a movie and not a documentary”.
The same fact was corroborated by the director of the movie Ashutosh Gowarikar. He said that the Hindi movie Jodha Akbar should be watched for entertainment rather than getting into the Rajput-Muslim controversy.
The biggest movie of the year Jodha Akbar had a dismal opening.Inspite of the huge star cast the Hindi movie did not manage to get good opening.The collections were quite disappointing to as low as 50 % in some of the territories, which is less for a movie of this stature.
The producers are quite optimistic of the overseas collections.The collections are likely to pick up due to absence of major release.The earliest release will be in March, so that will help Jodha Akbar. Till than let us wait and watch.
These days Priyanka Chopra is busy shooting for Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Fashion’. It was quite a wonderfull sight to see Priyanka smiling and her fans coming up to her for autographs. Recently, Kajol had sent an SMS to Shahrukh Khan regarding her acting in Raju Hirani’s film. She did not get a reply from King Khan. Movie of this epic proportion has been made after a very long time. Every thing about this movie is on a grand scale; be it the battle scenes, costumes, jewellery or the various sets. The best thing about the movie is the attention given to the various details which proves that the director has made the movie with heart and soul. In fact, Jodha Akbar is not a mere display of grandeur but is full of romance, action and drama.
The movie is set in the sixteenth century and deals with the love story of Emperor Akbar and Princess Jodha. It highlights how two different people from different religious and cultural background are brought together in holy matrimony for political reasons. This subject matter has not been covered in any of the movies of the past. The story slowly reveals the love story of Princess Jodha and Emperor Akbar.
The first half of the movie is interesting, especially the confrontation of Jodha and Badi Maa. It is really entertaining. And also the fight between Jodha and her brother is praiseworthy. Hrithik and Aishwarya have given excellent performances and it is visual treat for the eyes to see them in the royal costumes. Every actor in the movie succeeds in portraying the character.
Kiran Deohans’ cinematography, jewellery by Tanishq and costumes by Neeta Lulla leave the audience spell bound. The background score of the movie is quite good and the music blends beautifully with the era of the film.
Over all Jodha Akbar is a must watch Hindi Movie for its epic proportions.

Sussanne has always succeeded in giving surprise birthday bashes to Hrithik. Recently when Hrithik was asked about how he celebrated his birthday, he said that “Sussanne always manages to surprise me with something new every time. When I came back from my cousin’s birthday party I was surprised to find everything nicely decorated and I had no clue about it, when I left the house.”
These days the couple is eagerly awaiting the arrival of their second baby.
After the success of ‘Jab We Met’ Kareena has increased her fees to Three Crores. Currently she is the highest paid female actor in the Hindi film industry. Our sources have revealed Kareena’s new found interest in fashion designing. Kareena said “I have always been interested in designer clothes, so what’s wrong if I launch my own designer wear. My fans will find reflection of me in my designed clothes”. She further added that she will take out time from her busy schedule and devote her full attention towards fashion designing.

Bipasha is currently shooting in Calcutta for a bong movie, as her parents always wanted her to act in a Bengali movie. She will be sharing the screen with Bengali actor Prasanjeet and the shooting is likely to start soon. The movie is directed by Rituparno Ghosh. Bips said “I speak Bengali fluently so that shouldn’t’ be a problem and since my director is casting me in a role which is much more mature than what I am in real life. I am totally director’s actor, so I am hoping a lot from this film.”
Also to add a few more news Bipasha was offered a role in the American serial Lost but she refused due to date problems.
Bipasha has always been a subject of all gossip mongers and the latest news to hit the gossip circle is related to her marriage. She has her reportedly told in one the interviews that she will be marrying late as she feels that she has to pursue her career. She said “In our family all of us pursue our career and than marry, I intent to marry at the age of 33 to 35 years; so I still have a good 4 to 5 years. So currently marriage is not on cards.” When she was asked whether she would be marrying John she winked and said “That is for you to guess!”
