Om Shanti Om is a great entertainment for the entire family. It is full of comedy, romance, action and drama. This latest movie of Shahrukh Khan is a real entertainer and succeeds to keep you glued to the screen from beginning to the end. Hope our filmmakers take an inspiration from this movie.

The movie is set in the 70’s. It is a story of a junior artist Om Prakash Makhija (Shahrukh Khan) who wants to be a superstar. His love interest happens to be country’s heart throb Shantipriya (Deepika Padukone). He like a true hero manages to save Shantipriya from a devastating fire. From that time they become good friends. Later on Om discovers that Mukesh (Arjun Rampal) is secretly married to Shantipriya and is father of her unborn child. Later Mukesh sets fire to the film set and traps Shantipriya in it. Om tries to save her from the fire but fails to do so due to an explosion. Om in turn dies, of a car accident.

OM is reincarnated as a superstar and manages to remember his past. What he does to avenge the injustice done to him and Shantipriya is what the story deals with.

The acting of Shahrukh has always been excellent and this movie is no exception. He carries the movie all by himself. Shreyas Talpade is good and so is Deepika Padukone. The story mimics actors of the past and that was not necessary. The music of the film is nice with catchy songs and good picturisation. The Darde Disco was really catchy and Shahrukh sporting his six packs was nice showbiz.

The movie is good entertainment for the entire family inspite of being an overdose of Shahrukh Khan. So go and watch it.
