Ash And Hrithik Made An Excellent Pair In Jodha Akbar

Filed under: Aishwarya Rai, Hrithik Roshan — Tags: , — Hindi movies @ 11:58 am

The Hindi Movie Jodha Akbar in spite of being the controversial movie succeeds in leaving a long lasting impact on the audience. The roles played by Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai are superb and the characters are portrayed in a realistic way. Hrithik brings out the royalty of the Emperor Akbar by his perfect body language.  Similarly Ash does not lag behind in playing the character of Queen Jodha.

The sword fighting between Hrithik and Aishwarya is mesmerizing.  Both the actors succeed in getting into the skin of the character. During the fight too, the Director succeeds in giving a romantic touch to the scene.

Hrithik’s dialogue that “Do not forget that i am your husband” is truly befitting the scene.

The biggest movie of the year Jodha Akbar had a dismal opening.Inspite of the huge star cast the Hindi movie did not manage to get good opening. The collections were quite disappointing to as low as 50 % in some of the territories, which is less for a movie of this stature.

The producers are quite optimistic of the overseas collections. The collections are likely to pick up due to absence of major release. The earliest release will be in March, so that will help Jodha Akbar. Till than let us wait and watch.

Review: Jodha Akbar

Filed under: Aishwarya Rai, Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan, New releases — Tags: , — Hindi movies @ 6:56 pm

The much awaited Hindi Movie Jodha Akbar lives up to its expectation.  It manages to mesmerize the audience inspite of all the controversies and delay in release dates.  Movie of this epic proportion has been made after a very long time.  Every thing about this movie is on a grand scale; be it the battle scenes, costumes, jewellery or the various sets.  The best thing about the movie is the attention given to the various details which proves that the director has made the movie with heart and soul.  In fact, Jodha Akbar is not a mere display of grandeur but is full of romance, action and drama.

The movie is set in the sixteenth century and deals with the love story of Emperor Akbar and Princess Jodha.  It highlights how two different people from different religious and cultural background are brought together in holy matrimony for political reasons.  This subject matter has not been covered in any of the movies of the past.  The story slowly reveals the love story of Princess Jodha and Emperor Akbar.

The first half of the movie is interesting, especially the confrontation of Jodha and Badi Maa.  It is really entertaining.  And also the fight between Jodha and her brother is praiseworthy.  Hrithik and Aishwarya have given excellent performances and it is visual treat for the eyes to see them in the royal costumes.  Every actor in the movie succeeds in portraying the character.

Kiran Deohans’ cinematography, jewellery by Tanishq and costumes by Neeta Lulla leave the audience spell bound.   The background score of the movie is quite good and the music blends beautifully with the era of the film.

Over all Jodha Akbar is a must watch Hindi Movie for its epic proportions.

Filed under: Aishwarya Rai, Hrithik Roshan, Latest Gossip — Tags: , — Hindi movies @ 1:01 pm

Aish and Hrithik are ready to rock the screen with Jodha Akbar. Hrithik is known for his helpful and caring nature. In fact during the filming of Jodha Akbar, he  offered to share the chopper ride with Aish as it would have saved her valuable time .

For those who are unaware Hrithik owns a chopper which he uses regularly to commute between Mumbai and Karjat studio. Recently there were false rumors of Aishwarya and Hrithik having a fight but this incident proves that our Dugu is too soft to indulge in such petty things.

Did you know it has taken four long years from conception to final completion. Though the star cast has not openly shown their anguish due to the delays ,there are reports of Hrithik getting impatient. But we all know he cannot openly reveal it due to professional reasons.

Hope the release dates are not further postponed as the audience may lose interest in the film.

Jodha Akbar

Filed under: Aishwarya Rai, Future Films, Hrithik Roshan — Hindi movies @ 11:44 am

It is the most eagerly awaited movie of 2008. This is Hrithik’s movie after Dhoom-2 and therefore the expectations are quite high.

It is set in the sixteenth century mughal india. It tells the story of the unforgettable love between Shehansha Akbar and Queen Jodha. The movie is expected to break box office records as it filled with intense battle scenes and breathtking performances by it’s star cast.

The music is soothing and blends with the mood of the film. The release date has been postponed to somewhere in February as the movie is undergoing intense cuttings. The time period is being reduced from four and half hours to three hours.

Hrithik has worked hard on his character and has given his best shot.He had taken special classes to get his Urdu pronunciation right. He has also suffered a knee injury in the horse sequences.

The movie has some intimate scenes between Hrithik and Aishwarya but there is no kissing scene. Hope this movie rises to the expectations of the audience.

With all this support we are sure, Abhishek will give us a blockbuster. Behind every successful man there is a woman and it appears that Aish strongly believes in it.

We would like to add that the rumours of Aish’s pregnancy are wrong. Aish and Abhishek are totally unmindful of the rumours and are totally in love.Sweet na.
