Review : Kidnap

Filed under: Bollywood, New releases — Hindi movies @ 10:33 am

Sanjay Gadhavi has come up with his latest project titled Kidnap. It has been two long years since the release of Sanjay Gadhavi’s last release i.e, Dhoom-2. This time the director deals with a thrilling story and presents it with his unique style.

The movie tells the story of an orphan who has been wrongly accused by Sanjay Dutt. The orphan’s role is played by Imran Khan  who seeks revenge throughout the movie.Imran plays his part with finess. He  has done justice to his role which is totally different from  his previous movie. So in that way he has  actually proved, that he is a  talented actor.

The songs are great and the pace of the second half of the movie is fast.Minisha Lamba has donned a two piece bikini for this movie and has  worked hard on her body. She is a good dancer and her dance sequences are worth watching.

It will be better for you guys to watch Kidnap instead of Drona.

Review Drona

Filed under: Abhishek Bachchan, Bollywood, New releases, Priyanka Chopra — Tags: , — Hindi movies @ 12:04 pm

After the success of Krrish many producers and directors have tried to make movies on super heroes.Drona is the latest endeavor by director Goldie Behl. This movie has been in news for quite some time. The promos appeared attractive and did manage to raise the interest of audience.

The story of Drona revolves on the lines of Harry Potter.Drona is a prince who has been separated from his family and is forced to live in England. He is unaware of his family lineage and of his dormant powers. He is been protected by the charming Priyanka Chopra who plays the role of body guard.Kay Kay Menon plays the role of  a psychotic villain but unfortunately  appears funny instead of being mean.

Abhishek fails to play his part as he lacks style.Frankly the director  should have considered someone else for this role.

This movie is just time pass and may be enjoyed by kids but as far as grown ups are concerned we suggest you to avoid it.

Review: Love story 2050

Filed under: Bollywood, New releases, Priyanka Chopra — Hindi movies @ 6:18 pm

Harman Barweja’s debutant Hindi Movie Love story 2050 fails to live up to the publicity hype. It once again emphasized to all the film makers, that they cannot fool the audience.

This Hindi movie promised special effects of world class standards along with brilliant performances by Harman and Priyanka. Unfortunately, Harman doesn’t live up to the expectations of the audience and neither does Priyanka. In fact, the dialogue delivery by Harman is poor and the emotional scenes presented by him are a mess. One can clearly see that he is struggling in these scenes. Priyanka is no better either.

Do not expect the special effects to be extraordinary, as was projected in the trailers.  At times, the plot of the movie appears to be immature. The villain pops up out of nowhere and his role is also out of context. The music of the movie is average.

The major problem of the movie is its script. At times it becomes boring and dragging. Barweja’s should have hired a good script writer. Also, the Director has unnecessarily elaborated some of the scenes, which has increased the running time of the movie.

It is better to watch the parallel release Jaane Tu ……….. instead of Love story 2050!

Review Jaane Tu………

Filed under: Bollywood, New releases — Hindi movies @ 10:58 am

Perfectionist Aamir Khan has done it again. He has given us the first hit of the year. In spite of all the new faces,Jaane Tu is the first hit of the year.

Imraan Khan  gives a fantastic performance in this hindi movie. The hindi movie  is full of comedy. The story deals with two friends played by Imraan Khan and Gabriela who are the best of the friends but are unaware of the fact that both of them are deeply in love with each other. The story tells the story of how they discover their love for each other.

Rahman’s music is catchy and the track called Pappu can’t dance is wonderful. The mood of the film is bubbly and full of life. The movie is worth watching inspite of all the new faces.

This kind of movies are a must watch for the entire family considering the kind of movies that are released these days.

Review Hindi Movie Aamir

Filed under: Bollywood, New releases — Hindi movies @ 6:10 am

Rajiv Khandelwal  has given a fantastic acting performance in Aamir. The movie is interesting and full of suspense inspite of it’s  small budget. The movie opens dramatically and the tempo is maintained throughout the film and this is the most remarkable thing about this movie.

Aamir is a US returned doctor. At the airport his luggage is stolen and thereafter he is contacted by a gangster who asks him to do exactly as per his instructions, else  he would  lose his family. The most surprising aspect of this movie is that the main character never sees the villain and the story progress from morning till afternoon only.

Quite a unconventional movie which has not been repeated for a long time.Worth spending your money on.

Review: Jannat

Filed under: Bollywood, New releases — Hindi movies @ 8:13 am

The Hindi Movie Jannat is the latest movie from the Bhatt camp. The story of the movie deals around the game of cricket. Emran Hashmi plays the role  of a gambler who wants to be a successful  man in life.In order to achieve his aim, he enters the world of match fixing. Within a short time he becomes successful in the business due to his exceptional betting and match fixing skills. The problem is that his beloved is strictly against his profession. What happens to Emraan does he leave his obsession of match fixing or becomes a victim of it, is revealed towards the climax of the movie.

The movie has good performances by Emran and the rest of the  star cast. The title song ‘Jannat Yahain’ is catchy. The movie is shot in beautiful locations and has a modern look.

It’s a good movie and if you have a choice between ‘Narnia’ and Jannat, go for ‘Jannat’.

Review: Tashan

Filed under: Akshay Kumar, Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor, New releases — Tags: , — Hindi movies @ 5:01 am

One can conviniently say that, the most stupid Hindi Movie of the year award can be given to Tashan!

It is high time for producer Aditya Chopra to produce Hindi Movies of acceptable standards. His production house has given us nothing but senseless flop Hindi Movies. One fails to understand that inspite of getting heavily criticised for the quality of his movies, Mr. Aditya Chopra has failed to change his style of movie making.

The biggest problem with Yash Raj movies is the that they do not have good scripts and screenplay.  The Hindi Movie Tashan also has the same basic problem.  The movie fails to impress the audience because there is no story line. Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor and Anil Kapoor have given nothing but idiotic performances. Akshay Kumar has yet again shown how bad an actor he is. Some one should tell him to retire from the Hindi Movie industry. These guys are taking the audiences for granted. The present Indian audience is intelligent enough to reject such stupid stuff.

It is better if u stay away from Tashan, as it is 3 hours of non-stop torture.

Review: Bhootnath

Filed under: Amitabh Bachchan, Bollywood, New releases, Shahrukh Khan — Tags: , — Hindi movies @ 6:23 am

Bhootnath is a Hindi Movie made to entertain kids. This Hindi Movie is about a ghost played by the legendary Amitabh Bachchan who becomes an intimate friend of a small boy, Banku. The movie is a full entertainer for the entire family. The first half is full of humorous shots, which leaves the audience laughing their guts out.

It is quite evident from the movie that the director has shot the movie with passion. The later part of the movie is not as happening as the first part. The songs of the movie are bubbly and meaningful. Juhi Chawla and Shah Rukh Khan play the role of Banku’s parents and they give life to the character in the true sense.

The child artist has given very good performance and it is quite entertaining to see him do naughtiness throughout the movie. It is a must watch movie not only for the kids but elders too!!

Review: Mr. Black Mr. White

Filed under: Bollywood, New releases — Hindi movies @ 11:33 am

What has happened to Arshad Warsi’s intelligence? What made him sign a stupid Hindi Movie Mr. Black Mr. White? The movie is a nonsensical to core. It lacks in every department of film making. A total wash out in the true sense.

Arshad tries hard to be humorous. But, the script and the story line is such that, even the actor could not prove his worth. Sunil Shetty plays the role of Mr. White who lands up in Goa, in order to take Mr. Black i.e. Arshad Warsi back to Punjab. The movie revolves around this plot and is filled with stupid and poor jokes which are not worth mentioning.

Please avoid this brainless comedy in total !
